Spruce-Pine-Fir(SPF)

Spruce-Pine-Fir(SPF), which are lumbers made suitable for structural use by undergoing plane operation after felling, sawmilling and subsequent Kiln-Drying to less than 19% in moisture content. SPF Lumber is extensively afforested in Canada forests, and has many advantages such as strength for weight, workability, etc. so as to be used mainly for residential, commercial and industrial uses.

SPF grade introduction

J-GRADE - Japanese Standard, representing the best grade with 4 angles in the corner without having any wanes and dead knots
EXPORT HILINE - Used mainly for wooden housing frame, or after treating.
- 4 angles in the corner alive, and with almost no wanes (Intermediate grade between J-grade & North American Hi-line, being a little closer to J-grade).
NORTH AMERICAN HILINE - Grade for domestic use in North America, lower than Export Hi-line.
- 4 angles in the corner with almost no wanes.
- Blue stain could be included.
STUD - Product produced in STUD Mill.
- #2 STUD grade, specified as #2 Stamp on Lumber.

#2 & BTR - Used mainly for wooden housing Frame. Wane and Blue Stain included.
#3 - Old Tree with growth stopped, White Specks present.
- Used as industrial material, packing material, Not suitable for structural use.
ECONOMY - Used as industrial material, packing material.
